AI Discovery Day
You already know AI should be doing more for the firm. What you do not yet know is which work, in what order, at what cost. A Discovery Day answers that — in a single day, with a costed Menu of Opportunities you can act on the following week.
The Gap
Large firms have internal AI labs. Smaller firms are running off-the-shelf tools. The five-to-fifty fee-earner firm in the middle has nowhere obvious to turn for grown-up, methodology-led help.
The investment is not the tool. It is the operating model around it — who uses it, how, on which work, inside what governance. Most firms have not built that model. They have bought the software but not the framework.
Discovery Day is the starting point. A day spent watching how your firm actually works — not presenting to you about AI — and handing you a structured, costed view of where AI changes things for you. There is no obligation to take any further engagement with Silva.
The Process
Not a workshop. Not a sales pitch. A structured day built around watching your work, not telling you about ours. Click any step, or let it run.
A short call to agree the shape of the day. We confirm who attends, which workflows and practice areas to focus on, and which documents or live matters to have to hand. The day does not have a fixed agenda — the agenda is your firm.
We sit with the people who do the work — fee-earners, paralegals, support staff — and watch the workflows that matter. Not workshops. Not presentations. Real work, observed and understood in context. This is where the useful information lives.
We map what we have seen, identify candidate AI use cases, and grade each one — for potential impact, implementation complexity, risk and indicative cost. A short compliance and privilege scan runs alongside to flag anything that needs addressing before AI work can start.
A short, structured deck. The centrepiece is the costed Menu of Opportunities — the artefact the firm uses to decide what to do, in what order. Alongside it: a note on compliance and privilege risks worth addressing first. Readable, actionable, and yours to keep.
A working session, not a sales meeting. We walk through the deck together, answer the questions the document raises, and agree what — if anything — happens next. Discovery Day stands alone. Roughly half of firms proceed to a Process Review; roughly a quarter go straight to an implementation.
Your Deliverable
Every Discovery Day produces the same four outputs. The content changes firm to firm — the structure stays the same so nothing gets missed and the firm can act independently if it chooses to.

Pricing
A Discovery Day is a single fixed fee. You know the cost before we start and it will not change. The fee covers the pre-call, the full day, the written output and the follow-up session.
For larger firms where the scope requires multiple days, Discovery is priced on enquiry. The structure stays the same — the scale adjusts.
All Discovery Days are subject to a brief qualifying call to confirm fit. Larger firms scoped on enquiry.
